Softball Recap: Echols County Wildcats vs. Irwin County Indians
Echols County lost against Irwin County back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Echols County Wildcats came up short against the Irwin County Indians, falling 14-2. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Echols County's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Irwin County, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
Echols County will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Atkinson County at 4:30 p.m. Atkinson County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season. As for Irwin County, they will play host again on Thursday to welcome Clinch County, where first pitch is scheduled at 6:00 p.m.
