Preview: North Surry Greyhounds vs. Reagan Raiders
The North Surry Greyhounds will head out on the road to face off against the Reagan Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, North Surry ended up a good deal behind West Stokes and lost 64-45.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Fisher Leftwich, who scored 16 points. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Julius Brintle, who scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Reagan's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 77-68 to South Stokes. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Their wins bumped North Surry to 2-1 and West Stokes to 5-2.
North Surry came up short against Reagan in their previous meeting back in December of 2017, falling 53-43. Can North Surry avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
