Tri-Valley recap December 3, 2013

Nordhoff added to the longest winning streak in Tri-Valley this week by beating Bishop Diego, 24-21. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Rangers.

Oak Park fell to El Segundo 59-40 last week, the largest margin of any game. Chandler Whitbord was a bright spot for the Eagles, as he threw for 439 yards and 4 touchdowns and ran for 85 yards in the loss.

Matt Byer had an awesome week catching the football as Oak Park lost to the Eagles. He caught 14 passes for 294 yards.

Byer was the best wideout in the league this week as Terry Shorten's team fell to El Segundo. Byer racked up 14 receptions for 294 yards. Eric Corsello helped Oak Park's passing attack out by catching 6 balls for 101 yards.

Oak Park's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Whitbord has thrown for 3,235 yards and 43 touchdowns this season, while Byer has 100 catches for 1,929 yards.

Nordhoff's Matt Woodcock is a mere 65 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. Woodcock has rushed for 935 yards on 128 carries so far this year.

Going into this week's game against the Eagles, Tony Henney's team's Tanner Workman needs 135 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season. So far this year, Workman has thrown for 1,865 yards with 17 touchdowns and 5 interceptions.

The Eagles led the league in scoring this week after putting up 40 points on the Eagles.
