Pittsfield came tearing into Monday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 47-40 victory over the Pope Francis Prep Cardinals. That's more bragging rights for the Generals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Leading Pittsfield to victory were Harolyn Castillo and Dezerea Powell. Castillo almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds, while Powell went 6 of 12 en route to 13 points along with six boards and four steals. What's more, Powell also racked up three blocks, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. Kyana Summers was another key player, putting up three points and six steals.

Pittsfield's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-1. As for Pope Francis Prep, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Pittsfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pope Francis Prep, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Chicopee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
