Volleyball Recap: Central Catholic Comes Up Short

Central Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Sanger West Hornets.

Among those leading the charge was Austin Vang, who had six aces and four digs. Those six aces gave him a new career-high. Hunter Keochai also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.

Central Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Sanger West, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season.

Central Catholic has already played their next contest (against Atascadero), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Sanger West, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Bakersfield Christian on the 29th.
