The Bishop Hartley Hawks will head out to face off against the Canal Winchester Indians at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Hartley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.7 runs per game this season.

Bishop Hartley is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 13 runs last Monday, they were much more limited against Upper Arlington on Wednesday. They lost 9-2 to the Golden Bears.

Bishop Hartley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hannah Ziegler, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Canal Winchester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 9-4 to Groveport-Madison.

Bishop Hartley's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Canal Winchester, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.

Canal Winchester's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Bishop Hartley has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Canal Winchester, though, as they've been averaging 12.7 hits. Given Bishop Hartley's sizable advantage in that area, the Indians will need to find a way to close that gap.

Bishop Hartley took their win against Canal Winchester when the teams last played back in April of 2016 by a conclusive 12-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
