Edison is still undefeated this season after their matchup against Spencer-Van Etten/Candor on Monday, but Spencer-Van Etten/Candor came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Spartans came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Eagles. The three-run effort marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Aurora Parlo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Kayla Rossi was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.

Edison's victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Coming up, Edison will head out to take on Spencer-Van Etten at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Spencer-Van Etten/Candor does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
