Basketball Recap: Paul Robeson Drops Highest Score of Season Against Philadelphia Academy Charter

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Paul Robeson). Everything went their way against the Philadelphia Academy Charter Chargers on Friday as the Paul Robeson Huskies made off with a 96-70 win. Given the Huskies' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 209th, while the Chargers are ranked 464th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Philadelphia Academy Charter still got an impressive performance from Tahj Wilson, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. Wilson has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last ten times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jordan Benzenahfer, who posted 16 points.

Paul Robeson is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. As for Philadelphia Academy Charter, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6.

Coming up, Paul Robeson will venture away from home to take on Constitution at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Paul Robeson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Constitution likes a good challenge. Philadelphia Academy Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
