Softball Recap: David Anderson Takes a Loss

If David Anderson was riding high fresh off their 15-4 takedown of Heartland Christian last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blue Devils lost 25-4 to the Columbiana Clippers on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their meetings with the Clippers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Marah Householder was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season. Emelia Cook was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

David Anderson's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Columbiana, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

While David Anderson had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
