Basketball Recap: Faith Baptist School Takes a Loss

Faith Baptist School lost against Greenwood Mennonite back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Faith Baptist School Falcons had to suffer through a 61-27 loss at the hands of the Greenwood Mennonite Flames. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-10.

Leading Greenwood Mennonite to victory were Megan Yoder and Bobbie Smith. Yoder posted 11 points and five rebounds, while Smith went 5-for-10 en route to 14 points and five boards. The dominant performance gave Yoder a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Faith Elliott, who went 6-for-13 on her way to 12 points.

Faith Baptist School dropped their record down to 3-8 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Greenwood Mennonite, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-3.

As of now, neither Faith Baptist School nor Greenwood Mennonite have any future games scheduled.
