Basketball Recap: Michigan Collegiate Takes a Loss

Michigan Collegiate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 60-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the University Prep Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 508th, while the Panthers are ranked 56th).

Michigan Collegiate's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for University Prep, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

Michigan Collegiate has already played their next match (against Summit Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. University Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-53 victory against Lincoln-King Academy on the 14th.
