Softball Game Preview: Utica Chieftains vs. Sterling Heights Stevenson Titans

The Utica Chieftains will challenge the Sterling Heights Stevenson Titans at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Utica and 23 for Sterling Heights Stevenson dating back to last season.

On Thursday, Utica came up short against L'Anse Creuse North and fell 8-3.

Utica saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rachel Durecki, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Sterling Heights Stevenson came up short against Fraser on Thursday, falling 13-3.

Utica's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Sterling Heights Stevenson, their loss dropped their record down to 0-19.

Utica beat Sterling Heights Stevenson 4-1 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Will the Chieftains repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
