Basketball Recap: Marked Tree Comes Up Short

Marked Tree has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 65-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bay Yellowjackets on Monday. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Yellowjackets earlier this season, when they won 66-45.

Marked Tree's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Bay, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-7.

Marked Tree and Bay should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Arkansas Rankings. Marked Tree will take on Marvell at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday up 186 places (54 vs. 240). Meanwhile, Bay (ranked 100th) will meet Cross County (ranked 246th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
