Preview: Cristo Rey vs. San Diego Jewish Academy Lions
Cristo Rey will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the San Diego Jewish Academy Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On December 4th, Cristo Rey wound up with the same score they had in their last game (36-28), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.
Meanwhile, San Diego Jewish Academy struggled with assists on Tuesday (Rock Academy had seven more) and sadly the final score reflected it. San Diego Jewish Academy had to suffer through a rough 61-27 loss at the hands of Rock Academy. San Diego Jewish Academy has not had much luck with Rock Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jacob Rissman, who scored six points along with six rebounds and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Goold, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Cristo Rey now has a losing record at 2-3. As for San Diego Jewish Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
