Basketball Recap: Laurel Comes Up Short

Laurel lost against East Helena back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Laurel Locomotives took a 62-44 bruising from the East Helena Vigilantes. That's two games in a row now that the Locomotives have lost by exactly 18 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Laurel and nudges their season record down to 2-5. As for East Helena, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laurel and Billings Central Catholic will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for East Helena, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lockwood at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. East Helena knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Lockwood likes a good challenge.
