Baseball Game Preview: Clawson Trojans vs. Hazel Park Vikings

For the second straight game, Clawson will face off against Hazel Park. The Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Clawson is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last nine games.

Clawson is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Hazel Park get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won eight contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Clawson let Joey Campana and Max Dunlap run wild. Campana went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Dunlap got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs and two RBI. That's the most RBI Dunlap has posted since back in May of 2025. Elliott Groves was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Clawson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .562. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .320 or higher in four consecutive games.

Hazel Park's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7. As for Clawson, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.

Hazel Park's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Clawson hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .315.
