Buchholz moved up to 167 from 197 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 7A District 1. The Bobcats climbed the ranks as a result of besting Forest 31-10.

West Port led the league in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on Chiles.

Buchholz's dynamic duo of Bryce Goston and Ahmad Ivey proved tough for the Wildcats to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Goston threw for 184 yards and two touchdowns and Ivey had 78 yards receiving. James Tomlinson helped Buchholz's passing attack out by catching two balls for 38 yards.

Ben Hatch was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 14 carries, he ran for 155 yards as the Timberwolves topped Forest. Teammate Jalyn Croom added to the ground attack by rushing for 66 yards.

Chiles' Hatch and Mike Dunn have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 7A District 1 in both passing and receiving yards. Hatch has thrown for 1589 yards this season, while Dunn has 37 catches for 518 yards. The Bobcats' Kenny Scott leads the league in rushing yards with 1125.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Buchholz takes on the Wolf Pack. The Bobcats are currently in third, while West Port is in second.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when David Hodges' team takes on Lincoln. The Wildcats have allowed 208 points this season, while the Trojans have given up 70.
