Baseball Game Preview: Juarez Eagles vs. King Jaguars

The Juarez Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the King Jaguars at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Juarez has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 17.

On Saturday, Juarez didn't have quite enough to beat South Shore International and fell 8-7. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by just one run.

Meanwhile, King was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 14-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bogan.

Antwon King and Jhanius Walls stepped up to the plate in a big way. King went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI, while Walls went 1-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. King is 3-1 when King posts two or more runs, but 0-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Roma, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

King's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Juarez, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

Juarez skirted past King 13-12 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
