Stanton waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Riverside Generals a 14-0 shutout. Considering the Blue Devils have won 11 games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Leah Joseph made a splash while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Stanton let Zariah Harvey and Olivia Christovich run wild. Harvey went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Christovich went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
