Basketball Recap: McClymonds Comes Up Short

McClymonds won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They had to suffer through a 78-48 loss at the hands of the Oakland Tech Bulldogs. The Warriors lost against the Bulldogs in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 57-50 score last time.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oakland Tech to victory, but perhaps none more so than Saddiq Alarbesh, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 15 points and six rebounds. Those six boards gave Alarbesh a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ardarius Grayson, who posted 12 points and eight assists.

McClymonds dropped their record down to 7-12 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Oakland Tech, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

McClymonds has already played their next game, a 70-19 win against Oakland Military Institute on the 20th. As for Oakland Tech, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 85-59 loss against Inderkum on the 20th.
