Softball Recap: Gobles Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

11 must be Gobles's lucky number: they beat Quincy with that score not once but twice on Saturday. The Tigers beat the Orioles by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-7. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Kelsee Sherrod made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed 6.2 innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off three hits. Sherrod was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with six RBI, two runs, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kylee Killeen, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Daisy Jackson, who went 1-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.

Gobles' victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Quincy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Gobles didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 13-0 defeat against Mendon on the 25th. As for Quincy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 15-5 loss against Union City on the 28th.
