Basketball Recap: Boles Takes a Loss

Boles and Slidell squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Boles had to settle for second. They took a 47-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Slidell Greyhounds. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 672nd, while the Greyhounds are ranked 305th).

Boles' loss dropped their record down to 26-9. As for Slidell, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 25-8.

Boles does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Slidell, they will face off against Lipan on Monday. Lipan will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Slidell surely won't give up without a fight.
