Softball Recap: Ridgedale Victorious

Ridgedale won the last time they faced Upper Scioto Valley and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Rockets never let the Rams get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. The Rockets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by six runs or more this season.

Kenzie Delaney made a splash no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 15 over six innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brenda Scott, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Hannah Murphy, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

The victory got Ridgedale back to even at 4-4. As for Upper Scioto Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgedale will square off against Arlington at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Upper Scioto Valley, they will face off against Riverdale at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
