Softball Recap: Central Red Devils vs. Silverdale Academy Seahawks
Central is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Silverdale Academy. The Central Red Devils walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Silverdale Academy Seahawks. The win was nothing new for the Red Devils as they're now sitting on five straight.
Allyson Supan made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.
In other batting news, Central let Mariah Harrison and Gerritt Griggs run wild. Harrison scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Griggs scored a run while going 3-for-4. Savannah Sevier was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two RBI.
