Baseball Recap: Culpeper County Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Culpeper County's offense. They came up short against the Cape Fear Colts on Monday, falling 7-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Blue Devils have suffered since May 30, 2024.

Culpeper County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Cape Fear, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-7.

Looking ahead, Culpeper County will take on Gray's Creek in a tournament on Tuesday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season. As for Cape Fear, they will venture away from home to face off against Terry Sanford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something the Colts surely won't give up without a fight.
