Softball Recap: Burbank Comes Up Short

Burbank extended their losing streak to 11 on Monday, dropping them down to 1-15. They lost 21-4 to the Valley Vikings. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

As for Valley, they moved to 4-15 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak. That 17-run margin sets a new team best for them this season.

For Valley's part, Nathalia Gentil was excellent, going 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, six RBI, and three runs. Those six RBI gave Gentil a new career-high. Another player making a difference was E'Lonni Wright, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with seven stolen bases and four runs.

Burbank has already played their next matchup, a 20-6 defeat against West Campus on the 6th. As for Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 21-4 loss against Johnson on the 6th.
