Basketball Recap: Canyon Hills Comes Up Short

Canyon Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Madison Warhawks, falling 71-34. The Rattlers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-14.

Madison's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Runnar(Rj) Miller, who posted 15 points and eight boards. Miller has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last nine times he's played. Another player making a difference was Eli Stevens, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 13 points along with five assists and five boards.

Canyon Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Madison, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Canyon Hills will square off against Coronado at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Madison, they will take on La Jolla at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
