Baseball Recap: Capuchino Finds Home Field Redemption Against Menlo-Atherton

There's no place like home for Capuchino, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Menlo-Atherton Bears by a score of 4-0 on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Bears on Wednesday, they had to take a 6-2 defeat.

The result came thanks to Declan Mendel's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up ten Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Capuchino is 5-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 6-7 otherwise.

At the plate, Capuchino let Anakin Manuel and Billy Ferreira run wild. Manuel got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI, while Ferreira went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Capuchino's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Menlo-Atherton, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-6.

Capuchino has already played their next game, a 7-6 victory against Carlmont on the 23rd. As for Menlo-Atherton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-7 win against Sequoia on the 21st.
