Deer Valley had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took down the Sahuaro Cougars 69-55 on Wednesday. The win was nothing new for the Skyhawks as they're now sitting on ten straight.

Despite the defeat, Sahuaro had strong showings from Jamal Ali, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 18 points, and Cisco Llamas, who went 7-for-16 to rack up 20 points and six assists. Llamas' big performance that evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Dj Williams, who posted five points.

Deer Valley pushed their record up to 22-4 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.9 points over those games. As for Sahuaro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-4.

Deer Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 61-59 loss against Basha on the 21st. As for Sahuaro, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 62-38 win against Bradshaw Mountain on the 26th.
