Softball Recap: Southwest Legacy Comes Up Short

Southwest Legacy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 16-1 to the Carroll Tigers. The game marked the Titans' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Southwest Legacy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Salas, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Even though they lost, Southwest Legacy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in three consecutive contests.

Southwest Legacy's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Carroll, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Southwest Legacy is headed away from home for the first time to take on South San Antonio at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carroll, they will be taking part in a tournament against Jones at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
