Baseball Recap: Washington Comes Up Short

Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Decatur Seahawks, falling 15-3. The Jaguars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Seahawks from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Washington saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Miles, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Washington's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Decatur, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Washington will venture away from home to square off against Mardela at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Jaguars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Decatur, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Sherwood at 4:00 p.m.
