Softball Recap: Plainfield Central Wildcats vs. Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings

Plainfield Central was the 9-8 winner over Homewood-Flossmoor when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Plainfield Central fell just short of Homewood-Flossmoor by a score of 6-5 on Thursday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Plainfield Central got a good showing from Kaylynn Howe, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Howe has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.
