Basketball Recap: Bellefontaine Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Quinlan Zedeker and Tiffany Boop

Bellefontaine lost against Kenton back in December of 2017 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bellefontaine Chieftains came up short against the Kenton Wildcats, falling 59-36. While losing is never fun, the Chieftains can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 345th, while the Wildcats are ranked 77th).

Tiffany Boop and Quinlan Zedeker certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Boop went 6 of 12 en route to 15 points and six rebounds, while Zedeker posted nine points and seven boards.

Even though they lost, Bellefontaine smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.

Bellefontaine's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Kenton, their win bumped their record up to 18-3.

Bellefontaine does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kenton, they will take on Woodward in a tournament on Thursday.
