Softball Recap: Alleghany Comes Up Short

Alleghany was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 9-1 to the East Surry Cardinals. The match marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Alleghany saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gracie Keith, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Alleghany's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for East Surry, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alleghany will face off against North Stokes at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Surry, they will take on West Wilkes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give East Surry their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
