Basketball Recap: William Floyd's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

William Floyd won the last time they faced Riverhead and things went their way on Wednesday too. The William Floyd Colonials walked away with a 38-28 win over the Riverhead Blue Waves. The score was all tied up 13-13 at the break, but the Colonials were the better team in the second half.

William Floyd got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Savannah Pantry out in front who posted eight points along with eight boards and seven steals. Pantry is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. Chloe Campbell was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten boards.

William Floyd's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-7. As for Riverhead, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

William Floyd will be playing in front of their home fans against Central Islip at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Riverhead, they will square off against Walt Whitman at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
