Basketball Recap: Bayshore Christian Takes Down Universal Academy in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bayshore Christian had no problem doing just that on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 59-39 margin over the Universal Academy Falcons. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Faith Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Bayshore Christian found their leader in sophomore Tylan Lewis, who posted 35 points. The match was Lewis' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Will Stayte was another key player, putting up 14 points.

The win (which was Bayshore Christian's fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-12. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Universal Academy, their loss was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-17.

Bayshore Christian has already played their next game (against Brandon Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Universal Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
