Softball Game Preview: Waupun Warriors vs. Campbellsport Cougars

Campbellsport's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Saturday: Waupun hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Warriors came out on top against Cambria-Friesland by a score of 5-0 on Thursday.

Alexis Babiash was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Campbellsport unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against Lomira, falling 11-2. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Cougars, who until this matchup were averaging 3.19 runs allowed.

Campbellsport saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Sabish, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Campbellsport's defeat dropped their record down to 17-4. As for Waupun, their win bumped their record up to 18-2.

Saturday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Waupun hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .368.
