Douglas County scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 68-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pueblo West Cyclones.

Several Huskies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Marco Vasquez, who posted ten points. Vasquez continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nolan Case, who earned ten points.

Even though they lost, Douglas County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Douglas County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Pueblo West, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Douglas County won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Pine Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pueblo West, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll square off against Pueblo East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
