Basketball Recap: Countryside Christian Minutemen vs. Meadowbrook Academy Mustangs
Countryside Christian couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 71-26 defeat at the hands of the Meadowbrook Academy Mustangs on Tuesday. The Minutemen just can't catch a break and have now endured nine losses in a row dating back to last season.
Meadowbrook Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Zach Ross out in front who made all 6 shots he took racking up 15 points plus four steals. Luke Charske was another key player, going 6 for 8 en route to 15 points plus two steals.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Countryside Christian will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Redeemer Christian at 7:00 p.m. on December 3rd. As for Meadowbrook Academy, they will challenge Ocala Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
