            Baseball Preview: Pembroke Dragons vs. Webber Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Pembroke hasn't had much luck against Webber recently, but that could start to change  on Tuesday. The Dragons will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Tigers  at 5:00  p.m. Pembroke will come into the  matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
Pembroke barely beat Perry the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Dragons' pitchers stepped up to hand the Yellowjackets  a   7-0 shutout  on Monday. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by seven  runs or more this season.
 Hayden Williams looked comfortable as he  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   three  hits.
 On the hitting side,  Jacob Johnson and  Brayden Lang did most of the damage at the plate:  Johnson  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI, while  Lang  went 1-for-3 with one  home run and three  RBI. That  home run was  Lang's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Landon Santini, who  went 2-for-3 with two  doubles and one  run.
 Pembroke  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .517. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
 Meanwhile, Webber didn't have quite enough to beat Barker last Monday and fell  3-1. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Pembroke's victory was  their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 4-0. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Webber, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
 Pembroke took their  victory against Webber  in their previous meeting  back in April of 2023 by a conclusive  19-8 score. Do  the Dragons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
