Recap: Yucaipa vs. Chaparral
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Chaparral ultimately got the result it was hoping for on Friday. They walked away with a 20-13 win.
Chaparral got off to a sluggish start, posting 0 total points in the first half. That left them at a 0-7 disadvantage. In the second half, however, Chaparral's defense made a stand and allowed a meager 6 points.
No one put up better numbers for Chaparral than senior Orlando Ornelas, who brought his A game into the match. He picked up 97 yards on the ground and accumulated 182 passing yards. Senior Jordan White also helped out with an impressive 114 receiving yards in the victory. The victory bumped Chaparral's record up to 4-0. The defeat dropped Yucaipa's record to 1-2.
Chaparral will stay at home next week against Victor Valley at 7:00 PM. As for Yucaipa, they will face off against San Gorgonio.
