Basketball Recap: Amity White's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Pretty Prairie over Central Christian

Pretty Prairie lost against Central Christian back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pretty Prairie Bulldogs took a 37-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Central Christian Cougars. The match marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Pretty Prairie's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amity White, who posted 11 points and five steals. White has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Claire Miller, who scored 11 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Pretty Prairie and nudges their season record down to 8-7. As for Central Christian, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

Coming up, Pretty Prairie is taking a road trip to challenge Fairfield on Friday. As for Central Christian, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Cougars challenge the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Christian is facing Cunningham at the right time seeing as Cunningham is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
