Baseball Recap: West Creek Takes a Loss

West Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 19-1 to the Rossview Hawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Coyote of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

West Creek saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leonidus Muniz, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Muniz's first of the season. Donte Castro was another, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

West Creek's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Rossview, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Creek will head out to face off against Hume-Fogg at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Knights will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Coyote surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rossview, they will venture away from home to square off against Liberty Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
