Baseball Recap: St. Joseph Academy Takes a Loss

If St. Joseph Academy was feeling good fresh off their 12-1 takedown of Ridgeview on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Flashes fell just short of the Palatka Panthers by a score of 8-7 on Tuesday. The Flashes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Dayton Taylor made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That home run was his first of the season.

St. Joseph Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 17-5-1. As for Palatka, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season.

St. Joseph Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 8-0 loss against Bolles on the 9th. As for Palatka, they have also already played their next game, an 8-5 victory against Williston on the 9th.
