North Salinas comes up short despite Shane Taylor's dominant performance

Recap: North Salinas Vikings vs. Soledad Aztecs

The North Salinas Vikings struggled with threes on Tuesday (the Soledad Aztecs had nine more) and sadly the final score reflected it. North Salinas took a 62-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Soledad. North Salinas has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, North Salinas still got an impressive performance from Shane Taylor, who scored 11 points along with five steals. Taylor hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Angel Lizaola, who scored ten points.

Pablo Morales iv was his usual excellent self, going 9 for 15 from beyond the arc en route to 32 points and 0 assists for Soledad. Pedro Morales Jr was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five assists.

North Salinas has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Soledad, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-10.

North Salinas will head out on the road to challenge Pajaro Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Soledad, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Gonzales at 7:00 p.m.
