Basketball Game Preview: Neuqua Valley Wildcats vs. Naperville Central Redhawks

The Neuqua Valley Wildcats will square off against the Naperville Central Redhawks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses for Neuqua Valley and three for Naperville Central.

Last Monday, Neuqua Valley came up short against St. Charles North and fell 43-36. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 181st, while the North Stars are ranked 31st).

Meanwhile, Naperville Central ended up a good deal behind Yorkville on Monday and lost 67-53.

Naperville Central's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Neuqua Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 8-15.

Neuqua Valley beat Naperville Central 59-51 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Does Neuqua Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Naperville Central turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
