Softball Recap: Naaman Forest Rangers vs. North Mesquite Stallions

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bland, Naaman Forest was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the North Mesquite Stallions by a score of 9-4. For the Rangers, this counts as revenge for the 4-0 win the Stallions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.

Emily Velazquez was a standout: she went a perfect2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one triple the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Maya Rhodes, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Naaman Forest hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in four consecutive games.
