Baseball Game Preview: St. Johns Redskins vs. Show Low Cougars

The St. Johns Redskins will face off against the Show Low Cougars at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. St. Johns has given up an average of 7.2 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

St. Johns is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came up short against Snowflake on Thursday, falling 20-8.

Cy Lindsey was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Show Low waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 10-7 win over the Bulldogs.

Show Low got a massive performance out of Nick Hall, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-4. Another player making a difference was Mason Bigos, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Show Low's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for St. Johns, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

St. Johns suffered a grim 11-3 defeat to Show Low in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can St. Johns avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
