Germantown was the 2-0 winner over Oak Grove when they last played one another on September 6th, but their luck changed this time around. The Mavericks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors on Tuesday. The Mavericks' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Germantown was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-21.

Their offense was headlined by Grace Rushing and Makenzie Taylor, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Fabiola Pena and her eight assists.

Germantown's defeat dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Oak Grove, they pushed their record up to 17-14 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

Coincidentally, Germantown and Oak Grove will both be playing D'Iberville the next time they take the court. The Mavericks will host the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Warriors will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
