Recap: River Ridge Hawks vs. Peninsula Seahawks
The River Ridge Hawks won against the Peninsula Seahawks last Thursday with 65 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Wednesday. River Ridge greeted the New Year with with a 65-50 win over Peninsula. The victory was nothing new for River Ridge as they're now sitting on three straight.
River Ridge's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryzen Nunez, who scored 11 points along with three blocks. Nunez continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Elgin Macomber , who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
River Ridge's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Peninsula, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
River Ridge will be playing in front of their home fans against Capital at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Capital is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Peninsula, they will head out on the road to face off against Timberline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Timberline knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matches -- so hopefully Peninsula likes a good challenge.
